CHAPTER 4: THE DOLLS

Third move, turning to dolls

During the exhibition, Behzad met artists who created unique dolls with yarn and string. The positive features of the products were that none of them were the same and were produced with harmless yarns for children. This is where the spark for his third exhibition struck him: the exhibition of hand-woven yarn dolls.

Immediately and after negotiations with these young artists, they purchased the needed materials and started making the dolls with the help of young artists. After 3 months they created enough dolls to set up an exhibition.

They organized the exhibit in the same place (the apartment) with a different decoration. The opening day was very crowded and during the one week it was held, more than two-thirds of the works were sold; and the rest of the works were purchased after the exhibition. It was another success for Behzad and his group and another motivation to keep working.
